Getting Started

Q: How do I create an account?

A: Sign up with your email or Apple Sign In when you get access.

Q: Do I need to accept permissions?

A: Camera permission is required for Form Analysis. Notifications and HealthKit are optional but recommended.

Form Analysis

Q: How does Form Analysis work?

A: Our computer vision technology analyzes your form in real-time using your device camera. All processing happens on your device - nothing is uploaded.

Q: Why aren't my reps counting?

A: Make sure:

  • Camera can see your full body
  • Good lighting
  • Proper push-up form (full depth)
  • Phone is stable and not moving

Q: Is my camera data private?

A: Yes! Camera data is processed locally on your device and NEVER uploaded or stored anywhere.

Challenges & Competition

Q: How do challenges work?

A: At launch, RepRival will include leaderboards, 1v1 challenges, and division rankings. We'll share final formats when early access opens.

Q: What is fitness score?

A: A score based on your workouts, including push-ups, cardio, and strength training synced from Apple Health.

Apple Health Integration

Q: How does HealthKit sync work?

A: RepRival reads your workouts (strength training, running, HIIT) to calculate fitness score. We only READ data, never write to HealthKit.

Q: What data do you access?

A: Only workout data (calories, duration, type). We don't access medical data, heart rate, or health records.

Account & Privacy

Q: How do I delete my account?

A: During pre-launch, email reprivalapp@gmail.com for waitlist removal or data requests. Once in-app deletion is live, we'll post the steps here.

Q: Can I change my username?

A: Yes, in Profile → Settings → Username.

Q: Is my data sold?

A: Never. We don't sell any user data. See our Privacy Policy.

Troubleshooting

Camera Issues

  • Grant camera permission in iOS Settings → RepRival
  • Ensure good lighting
  • Clean your camera lens
  • Restart the app

Login Problems

  • Check your email/password
  • Use "Forgot Password" to reset
  • Try Apple Sign In if you signed up that way

Sync Issues

  • Ensure HealthKit permission is granted
  • Check Settings → Privacy → Health → RepRival
  • Manually refresh in Profile
